So I've been doing few things these past few days. First of all, thanks to redditor EODOperative I have finally found a foobar2000 theme (pictured above) that actually makes me want to use the player over Spotify. He graciously sent me a zip of several variants of the theme.
I've been brushing up on my Java thanks to this data structures e-text/page: http://www.theparticle.com/javadata2.html. I'm trying to expose myself to as much as possible before diving into a basic project to solidify my skills. Most likely I will write a simple battleship game in Java. In July, I plan to most of my time coding in Python. I reinstalled Ubuntu (12.04 LTS) on my laptop again for that reason. It is setup for dual boot since I plan to use Ubuntu solely for code development after coding in python. August is scheduled for Javascript, CSS, and HTML for now.
I've obviously already laid out my summer plans for coding, so I'll attempt to layout a reading schedule now. I'm trying to keep my list light for now since reading isn't really a priority this summer. By the end of July I plan to be finished with the Lord of Rings trilogy (I should start the first one one of these days) and should be starting on the "A Song of Ice and Fire" (Game of Thrones) series soon after.
Hopefully I stick to something close to this schedule as the summer progresses. I'll definitely keep everyone updated!
